SYSSERT
This bus tour will show you one of the
most picturesque corners of the Urals - the town of
Syssert and its environs. The town was founded in the
first half of the 18th century as a state plant, which
later became the property of one of the richest and
famous plant-owner families in the Urals - the dynasty
of Tourtchaninovs-Solomirskys. The story of the family
- the owners of the Syssert mining district - you will
learn at the local Regional Studies Museum. The collections
of tools, household objects and documents will tell
you about everyday life of miners and forge workers.
You will take a short walk around the
town, go up on the Watch hill where one can have a perfect
panoramic view of the whole place, see the old dam and
the workshops of the old plant, and visit the Museum
of the famous Urals story-writer Pavel Bazhov - a wooden
house of the 19th century representing a typical household
of that time.
On the weekdays a local porcelain factory is open for
tourists.
The excursion lasts 5 hours.
The price includes:
transportation by a comfortable minibus
professional guide services
