Nevyansk, the "grandfather" of the Urals
plants, (one of the oldest metallurgical ņentres in
the Urals)
This route is developed for everyone
who is interested in the history of one of the richest
regions in the world and for the guests of the Urals.
The tour presents you with an old town,
so-called town-plant, Nevyansk, situated 86 km from
Yekaterinburg. You'll learn the history of the mining
and metallurgical industry in the Urals, a famous dynasty
of merchants of 18th century - the Demidovs, known from
17th century and connecting Yekaterinburg with provincial
towns and other commercial centres like Perm and Tchelyabinsk
/the Serov Way, for example/.
You'll have a visit to the Museum of
Local Lore and an unique monument of the past - the
Inclined Stone Tower. It will be really exciting to
see "the acoustic room", the mechanism of
the Nevyansk clock and the steeple.
The excursion lasts 5 hours.
